3rd person action adventure for console boxes may not be my cup of tea*, but they've got some talented artists on hand.

blah blah blah show me the game.

while the guys do have some AMAZING fucking TALENT, the overall art direction seems to be a little... I don't know - another generic dystopian neo future?

Next to no actual info, but the couple of paragraphs there do sound interesting. Turning memories into a commercial product and shaping an economy around that? Sounds like tons of ways to screw up and provide for an engaging setting and plot, I'm listening. Throw in some light RPG elements in there and maybe a PC port and I'm listening
intently.

I'm fine with that, still have a bit more to go before I reach my fill, and besides, if they manage to do justice to those concept pieces even just a little bit it would definitely stand a good chance to be one of the most compelling renditions of the style. I love the vibe coming off some of those works, particularly the ones without the really high-end skyscrapers, they take me back to when I was 13 and my (

I was going to post a thread about Adrift since I just discovered it but found this thread. Regardless of the game itself, the concept art they have on their site is great. I downloaded all of the images. Looks like there isn't any new information on the game either, so we will have to wait until E3 I guess. I really like the dystopian style though and reminds me of the mod Dystopia. I had always hoped that the mod would be turned into a singleplayer game because I thought the concept would be great for that.

I first thought this was about the text adventure generator.
The video looks like well edited concept art. I like that style. But the screenshots are less atmospheric and quite doctored.

Yep, it's a Koki post!

I agree with him though. This game isn't really worth discussing extensively until they have something real to show. A bunch of concept art and a blurb about the game world's setting? ZZZZZZ. What they've publicly shown of the game thus far paints it as more or less vapourware at this point.
sNeaksieGarrett on 26/1/2012 at 16:38
True, not extensively, no. But the art is a way to drum up some interest and it's interesting to see the behind the scenes stuff on a game. Apparently you and koki could care less.
In any case, this thread can serve as placeholder until there is more to discuss.

This has resurfaced as "Remember Me", to be published by Capcom. The following gameplay video had me groaning, it is derivative as fuck:- post-Uncharted scripted sequences; Tomb Raider "parkour"; Arkham series combat.
Yeah I know, source of an idea doesn't matter, it's the execution, but this feels like they just went through a checklist of features from hit games. All that's missing is waist-high wall shooting.
