I have to chip in with another vote for Melbourne as the best public transport. Though it obviously does depend where you live; even there, some outer suburbs are services terribly. Also, our new Oyster-card-a-like system is kind of screwing things up; it's trying to mimic the pricing of the old system while not being entirely stable :p.
Also: get used to capped internet :p.
