I am really digging my red accent wall, it goes well against the dark brick on the back wall. BTW, the railing is in front of an opening to the finished basement. It lets it be naturally lit by the floor to ceiling windows on the wall you can't see. It also allows the basement to be considered a bedroom (since I am rebuilding a closet I installed down there) and adds to the square footage (and resale value) if I ever put it on the market.
This complex is amazingly popular and the well maintained/upgraded units sell quickly and typically above what the market says they are worth.
When I post the upstairs pics, I am going to ask for some ideas on layout/paint/decor.
