While looking around on the Internet for good UT2k4 mods I happened upon the classic mod Air Buccaneers. Well, it turns out the team that developed it is actually working on producing a new, standalone game of it, as per the thread title.
Basically, Air Buccaneers is a team-based FPS revolving around airships. The players have to work together to crew and operate said airships, which the players can freely move around on to operate different stations. There's a surprising amount of depth to the gameplay and for an open alpha it's very stable and playable.

Anyways, I posted this up because as far as I can tell it has had zero publicity, which is a shame since it's pretty unique as far as shooters go. If you want to download the alpha, which is currently free, it's available from their main site:
