Did you "play" with dromed.cfg? Filtering brush media on startup?
Code:
edit_script_darkloader darkloader.dromed
:confused::confused:
Point to startup.cmd. Everyone else does that for a reason. It ignores the filters
Code:
set_mode 6
light_bright
lit_obj_toggle
set_ignore_filters 1
persistent_player_pos
I recommend to install DromEd toolkit or Bullet DromEd and don't mess with dromed.cfg

The only thing I mess with is the screen size. At least this far.

Well it IS drawing the terrain brushes, it's just drawing them in black. You can see them overlapping the other brushes in the first screenshot. Something's gotten jacked up.

Right? I don't know. Honestly. This was an old mission I had to dig up because I thought I was losing my mind when I saw that nothing was showing up. So I went out of my way to start a new mission, even with a fresh bootup. I never had such an unusual glitch/graphical error before.

Which mission is this?
SilverJackal on 29/7/2019 at 09:31
It's not a mission I released yet. Need not to worry. It's an unfinished one I had to tuck away for now.

Open up dromed.cfg and look for this part:
Code:
; editor colours
; Use these values to change the colours of various types of brush in the editor.
; Do not include any spaces between the numbers.
; Terrain - selected
editor_col_0 213,213,213
; Terrain - unselected
editor_col_1 99,163,184
; Terrain - face
editor_col_2 161,102,64
I imagine the second one (unselected terrain) is either missing or set to 0,0,0.

Russ in SilverJackal's earlier post the unselected colors are the same as your example. :)
I wonder if it is a video driver issue.

Sorry for not responding for sometime. I've found out that doing Ctrl 7/8/9 helps so I'll do that.
I even went as far as reinstalling the base game from a clean port.
@John... I wonder if your theory is correct because before using Windows 10.
I had Vista and as bad as that OS was, it still worked fine. I never had problems until now.
