I just hope the designers beggin churning out levels....
Lovely campaign, but it is somewhat short (though game can be a bitch in higher difficulties).

Those...those fucking 'healing is the only thing that can save you' parasite bastards.
More party wipes due to those arseholes than anything else. Ok, we were playing with only three people, but you'd think that'd be more "medigun per person", right?
Also, it turns out that a chainsaw directly to the face does not cure party members of the affliction. My party was awesome. :(

Electro armour makes em fall off, but you have to remember to fire it.

Also a telsa jolt to someone who is infected apparently slows down the infestation rate.

Or figure out where things are on the map and shoot them.

FANTASTIC IDEA NOBODY EVER THOUGHT OF THAT ONE

QFT. they always spawn at the same places. if you run into a room the first marine to get near eggs and don't shoot them spawns more. therefore the flamethrower guy always goes first and burns the eggs first, ignoring all other aliens. If you take that in mind you will only have trouble from level4 on on insane, everything below will be a cake-walk with an intelligent team (that actually communicates where to go, where to hold and where to rush)

Hah. Fair point. It was only our first runthrough, though, so knowing where the spawnpoints are was not an option. It was more the way the game seemed to be essentially a cakewalk all the way up to (and after) those things. "Easy, easy, easy, easy, easy, HAH: instabgib" is not a terribly well implemented difficulty curve. Hell, we didn't even HAVE a medic up until those things, since we never needed one.
And only having three people does slightly limit you when you get to the levels that make certain classes obligatory.
So when does the electro armour unlock?

Had a terrible session last night, but that's only because Z (who was hosting) thinks he's Leeroy fucking Jenkins and kept charging ahead, getting swarmed, and dying, while the rest of us, trying to keep up, get swarmed, and die. I keep telling him to slow the fuck down and stick with the group and all I get out of him is "speed is of the essence." No shit, Sherlock, but we've redone the first map like 6 times because you keep running too far ahead. Every time he fucking dies I tell him he just proved my point, to which he says "not really" and goes back to sucking a mess of dick. After the 20th fuckup on map 3 or so I quit.
I don't think I'll be playing with him again.

If someone runs forward like a dick without the rest of us, most of the people I played with tended to let them go while they stayed grouped up with the other 2 more sane players. If that idiot happened to be our only tech, we'd kick him on the next go-around and get someone else.
