Friend of mine. Usually frighteningly good at games (especially multiplayer) but fuck me he cannot play Alien Swarm properly.

I'd say in the level where you have to burn down the eggs+infestations and escape the elevator it is a good tactic that everybody speedruns (on insane). We actually seperated and everybody went ALONE and killed the eggs and everybody took adrenaline so we could spam it the whole level long. I took almost no damage, the hold for the elevator and the dark vents are the hardest part. If you are quick enough you rush past all spawn points. Key is if you rush in a group you have to stick together, at MAX 3 meters spread because the first to enter a room will trigger, the last is the one to get swarmed. Insane without any losses is only doable if you know the map.
also: tesla + flame only slow down swarms on hard and above. they will still charge, block, LEAP and ATTACK if nobody else kills them. they can also extinguish the flame and come back full health.
