Funny but someone on another forum pointed out that this is very much like L4D. In space and with aliens and top down instead of FP but otherwise...

Or should I say L4D is very much like Alien Swarm...?

Four people against a horde is as far as the comparison goes. The view perspective, mission focus, and class system provide some pretty significant differences.

Edit: Although, to be fair, one of the devs said that drawing from their experience in coding L4D, they programmed an optional AI director that spawns hordes as appropriate.
