Those have to be the gayest tags ever. Maybe it's time to re-play Space Hulk instead, Koki?

Dead Space.
(disappointed not to see "lock and load" in the tags...)

I think it's time to re-watch Aliens
Sci-Fi soldiers in cramped corridors, armed with rifles, flamethrowers, and motion trackers, up against numerically superior aliens, deadly in close combat, although vulnerable to ranged fire.
No similarities there.
Space Hulk was basically Aliens with a measure of EXTREEM thrown in. Sure, they're over-the-top genetically enhanced space knights rather than normal grunts and you've got miniguns instead of carbines, but the gameplay and premise is very similar.
As to the game itself: Very fun. Not like a typical FPS, though. With the cramped corridors and lack of a Z-component to your aiming, the enemies are easy to hit, so it's not about trigger reflexes. Rather, it's about proper squad positioning and management as you give them orders. Set up your firelanes properly and you can mow down infinite hordes of genestealers. Leave a corridor unguarded and your marines get killed very, very quickly. I won't claim that either game has aged exceptionally well, but at least Space Hulk 2 is worth trying.

Extermination + Run Like Hell on ps2.
In Extermination's case, its a game that starts off really average and then all of a sudden gets really good quickly. Mega amounts of Aliens similarities throughout both games.

What's with these tags? Kids these days.
You've played Space Hulk, but you might still be interested in a quasi-remake of the board game, (
http://teardown.se/)
Alien Assault. It's based more heavily on the board game than the PC game Space Hulk was, so it's heavy on turn-based tactics. I really like the graphics, they're just pixelly enough.
It's currently at a 1.0 release, and they're still developing content for it.
While we're on the topic, is there a freely available, multiplayer-friendly Alien-esque shoot em up I can play with my cheapskate friends? (Must meet all the above requirements, no L4D, etc.)

Tremulous, probably. Dethtoll might want to look into that one too.

Will have to look into the Alien Shooter games though- are they any less boring than Zombie Shooter?
I've played neither. I'm pretty sure there's some demos floating around though.

Hey guys so is this when we start talking about how alien 2 was much better than alien 1?

You stole the words right out of my mouth. Run Like Hell is also on Xbox, and contains a number of improvements.

Is Run Like Hell that FMV-heavy survival horror, starring Lance Henriksen as the lead?

One is a claustrophobic horror film, where less is more. The other is a gung-ho action film, where more is more. They can't be compared fairly, if at all.
