DOCAbysmalGale_008000, m13c0608: "Like the time that old lady came in here...asking about the Abysmal Gale...how it got its name...where it is out at sea. Then a few days later...the ship comes back...all hands lost."
Some sort of Glyph magic? Agreed, certainly not necromancy. A recounting of an eery coincidence, forever a mystery, suggesting yet another force at work, or a mysterious conjunction of prophecies.
OQquarantinearticle: "The City Chronicle
Quarantine Lifted - City Watch gives the All Clear
The quarantine that had our City paralyzed was finally lifted yesterday, and officials report that all districts are 'safe and clear'. When asked what we are now safe from, however, officials still declined to comment. Commissioner Blaine told a group of reporters that the quarantine had been 'more successful than we could have hoped for', calling the City Watch officers who imposed the blockades 'heroes'. Although no mention of the ghost ship was made, sources confirm that the lifting of quarantine exactly coincided with the strange and sudden departure of the Abysmal Gale."
Ghost ship, eh? Well, there's a file to suggest the Captain's ghost remained on board, a cross between Captain Markham and the massacred Pagan villagers, but with the added bonus of being able to move the ship across the water. Being connected to that spiritual plane would allow for less coincidence.
m13v03a: "(A ghost, writing in his log) Let's see now...Captain's Log, Day 43...weather's been fine...we got a full hold and are headin' for home. Should be there in...(turns to look behind him) now what? Who's that? I'm not to be disturbed when I'm...stay back! What are you--? Ah! (Screams as he dies...dissipates...)."
And even though we never heard of a large dog leaping to the pier from the deck, I wonder if the Abysmal Gale made it to port the same way that the ship bearing Count Dracula reached England? :p

About the growing and reverting AI, Artimid posted this over at the Eidos forums:
Quote:
It's true, I saw it too Also, I understood exactly how it works! Let me explain...
When you complete one of the missions at the docks (I completed the captain Moira's mission first), you wake up at the keepers sleepsie room. If you visit the top floor of the forbidden library, only Caduca is up there. And guess what... IT WORKS WITH CADUCA TOO!
Sneak past her (watch out she doesn't get suspicious!) and enter the final room with the large office. Steal the loot and hide in the shadows... Wait for Caduca to come back. When she gets back, she notices the loot missing, gets suspicious AND GROWS TALLER!!! I was really freaked out. She also gets thinner!
So, this proves it is indeed a glitch. It is a coincidence because it works with Caduca too.
Bummer. Oh well!:cheeky:

That line is weird.
I forgot about this Gray Lady version of eenie-meenie-miney-moe:
"T_seasidemansionLoadingQuote4
Sing a song of daffodils, Gray Lady choose the one to kill, And you are out! - Children's game, origin unknown"

Hmm I don't know you could enter the Library at that time since it's off limits and there's a guard at the door. So how did you guys get in, just out of curiosity.

I've still yet to play it again in an attempt to witness these anomalies, myself. Only played the game once, so far. Any more light to shed on this is welcome.

Me? Did what any crazy person would do, I gassed the guard and hid his ass.

It's also possible to enter Forbidding Library through secret passage which can be opened by glyph in bedroom.

That was possible....? Wicked! I always crept around the entire compound thinking that if I made one wrong move... I would have twenty keepers hanging 'round my neck.
I can just imagine them finding the poor guard in the morning...

Well, in truth it's glyph and a secret panel that you open by stepping on a pressure-plate in the dorm.

What difficulty level were you playing on, Rav? 'Cause the game is supposed to cause you to fail if you even attack any Keeper at this point.
