I believe it's a road (Grandmauden Road).

well I for one have no slightest intention of buying the dubbed version of Thief III tho I live in Poland like Bukary. *waves to Bukary*
Because knowing the quality of Polish dubbing this may be the parody of the year...
*shudders*
What do you think Bukary: Bogus Linda as Garrett?" :joke: "Nie chce mi sie z toba gadac, Benny.."
Nope I will do whatever it takes to get the English version.
So Builder help me...:p
tho I applaud Bukary's effort nevertheleless

We already went through this :p. Go back to the sound file (I'll give you the filename if you actually will). Compare it to another WAV of someone saying "Donal".. It is definitely
not 'Donal', at least the voice actor was mighty inebriated that night as it literally sounds like "Da-wall" and not "Don-uhl" (however it would be spelled phonetically). I've gone through it dozens of times and come no closer to realistically thinking it's Donal. The only way I'd come to that conclusion is if I wanted to get rid of a cryptic name, and simply falsely assumed it was meant to be 'Donal' (I have no proof of it; the context and mention of thugs is reassuring, but they are a thieves guild and anyone can have hired thugs).

and Grand Maltin is probably Grand Mauden - it's been quite a long time since I played either game (been too busy with playing FMs :thumb: ), but I'm pretty sure this appears as a mansion on the map in LotP. Ahh, I really didn't remember this name anywhere, so simply wrote it down as it sounded. Cheers for the heads up.. I'll look at the map at my earliest convenience :thumb:.
Again, this is why second and third opinions are so great! When my database is finally released it will be more accurate than it could ever have been if I didn't get this kind of feedback.
EDIT: It most certainly is Grandmauden road. Intriguing. Another reference to something from Thief II in Thief Gold! I guess they had the Angelwatch area already mapped out (or had names of potential places) at that time.

My brother keeps refering to Garrett as "the Thief in that game," is it wrong to kill him?
