How many games is shadowolf playing anyway. He had three posts last night for three different FM's. That is some devotion to thief.

I finally got around to finishing off this one after starting it about 17 months ago. A couple of remaining questions I need help with:
There are two locked entries I couldn't open. The first is the exterior double-doors guarded by the Mechanist, cop, and combat 'bot near where you first enter the Mech/Guard compound. The second is a red metal door (from the warehouses in Shipping and Receiving) that's near to the room where the objective-fulfilling vase/urn is kept. I've found only two keys and neither work.
Can these be opened and how?
Thanks!

The red door can't be opened, and there's nothing behind it. I don't remember about the double doors.

Thanks! I thought that would be the case.

Is there any explanation of why the murdered noble?
Also: Funny thing. I shot a bluecoat archer who was walking away from me, she went thru the death animation (fell to the ground), instantly popped back up, walked back to her post overlooking the stairway, and immediately DIED AGAIN! :ebil: :laff: :laff:
Question #2. In the long room with the grandfather type clock and the burrick head trophy there's a switch that's already in the off position, does'nt seem to do anything. What's that about?

Seems to be some bug in the Dark engine. I have had things like this happen in a few FMs with the undead. They collapse and fall to the ground, jump back up immediately and either stand there forever (unless one gets too close and "wakes them up" again) or collapse a second time. Gives me the creeps sometimes...

but this was the first time with a living person, was very funny. Like she decided she was'nt killed by the shot, but like most women, changed her mind a few seconds later! :cheeky:
This thing just got :weird: :weird: :weird:!
What's with the pagan lava area and the pentagram with an unlabeled ring (is not loot!) you can pick up???
(have I fallen out of Thief and into the Twilight Zone?)
And still wondering about:
Why the murdered noble?

I don't know any details of the mission, but the bug you encountered happens whenever you set the priority of the AI going to their destination as "absolute". Even if they die en route, they pop back up and get to the destination and then fall down dead again.
