I hope the delay is a sign that the game isn't being rushed (ironically, delays often mean that the finished product would be rushed)
I have a soft spot in my heart for Obsidian because of all those Black Isle Infinity Engine games. :)
I hope this game is a real rpg, and if so, I want it to succeed because, outside of Obsidian, only indie companies and european companies still have that old school approach to rpg's.
Everybody else is making so-called action rpg's with more action than rpg. Even Bioware couldn't resist the temptation.
i think there was a very good mix of oldschool (DA:O, Risen) and new-school (ME2) last year. AP seems to fall in the latter category imo since it emphasizes action. No gameplayvideo was without shooting dudes in the face....even as a "stealth" guy.

*Sigh* Another publisher shafts Australasia when it comes to Steam pricing, $70 USD. Fuck you Sega.
All games are more expensive on Steam than buying them in a good retail store, and it's by no means exclusive to Australia.
When the game is launched here in Sweden I can either buy the game on Steam for 50e (67 USD) or go to the nearest good retail store and buy it for 400kr (55 USD).
Steam
never been the choice for cheap launch games. The cheap games on Steam are only during their holiday sales.

The 'problem'* (which really isn't a problem if you can still get it from an alternative place for the same price, unless you live breathe and die Steam and the thought of not having the Steam wrapper fills you with terror) is that we didn't use to have regionalised pricing until quite recently, we could buy at the normal US price. 50 USD ~ 70 NZD. The standard retail is around 100 NZD, while 70USD is pretty much exactly 100 NZD, so there's now no price differential.
*take as given that regionalised pricing is fundamentally a terrible idea from a consumer POV.

As an Australian, I generally find that steam is considerably cheaper than buying games in actual stores. The average retail price for a new release over here is usually around $90 AUD or so, with some being even more (I remember dragon age was around $110 or so).
The only game I can find that is really over priced on steam is MW2, which is selling for $90 USD :eww:

I would go so far as to say the single-player client flat out sucks.
And this is coming from a proponent of the 1st Modern Warfare. I loved that game's campaign to pieces.

hour-long panel discussion: (

it makes the game sound really good but I am still underwhelmed by the trailers. still preorderd. the "timed" responses could make this really fun and intriguing. also the 3 systems: talk without preknowledge, forced talks and prepared talks where you can check out the psychological profiles of the ones you are gonna talk to beforehand. if the fighting/shooting system is better than ME1's drunken controls it could be a winner.

You know, hearing those four dudes talk about AP has actually managed to do what trailer after trailer has systematically failed to - elicit a measure interest for this game on my part. Cheers for the link!

In so far as the setting goes it's pretty refreshing. I'mma try it.

Why isn't there more buzz about this game?
I'm usually against marketing because it reminds me of all the worst aspects of commerciali$m, but in this case, it seems to me that they didn't do a good job of spreading the word around about this game.
Could turn out to be a good thing though, since it might be a sleeper hit compared to certain overhyped RPG's I could name.
