The whole Scotland independence thing really troubles me - because it will make the rest of the UK even more Tory.

While I'm not intimately familiar with the British legislature, I'm not the least bit surprised that this was heavily opposed.

Its pretty obvious that any drastic change to the voting system would upset the current power system so its not entirely unexpected that there would be a massive propaganda campaign unleashed against the referendum.
Pity. Even in America, we don't entirely escape news of how much the Tories suck.
