Yep. All that does is save it as current. If you reload_schemas you will recompile all the schemas and replace everything. Think of the the schema files as your source code and the sound hierarchy as the compiled version. You can patch your compiled version to test out a change, but you ALWAYS update the source code and recompile to make sure that you have everything under configuration control.
