Considering that I'll be running Colonial Marines at true 1920x1080 with a constant 60fps and pixel accurate aiming (with the mouse), I couldn't give any shits about that gimmicky nonsense. Also the PC version will be cheaper than the toybox editions.

Well, if you're looking at your friggin controller when there are 8 foot tall man eating wall crawling monsters around, you're not a dirty console peasant. You're fucking lunch.

Each has their place for certain types of games. But it is good to see the PC back on top again. Plus unlike before where there was a distinct difference games wise to what was on console and what is on PC, there is very little difference between the 2 anymore not counting Wii / Xbox Connect and Playstation move games from the equation as I don't consider those as serious games. It's now just a question of do you want to play with a controller or do you prefer a mouse and keyboard.
I have a ps3 in my room but barely ever play it anymore since I can get the majority of games on steam nowadays. Of course there any exceptions, but the majority of the good games are being released on all platforms. Sort of defeats the purpose of having so many different platforms.
*gets out his old person walking stick*. I miss the old Sega Mega Drive vs Super Nintendo vs PC days. Now THAT was a true competition. Hell even the PS2 vs XBOX vs PC days were better in terms of variety and good games that were exclusive to a platform.

You don't consider Wii games to be 'serious?' That's okay, I don't consider my relationship with your mom to be serious.

Dead Space: Extraction, Metroid Prime trilogy, Tenchu 4 and Project Zero 4 would like to have a word with Icemann.

Fragile Dreams too.

Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Resident Evil: Chronicles series
Resident Evil 4 (best version)
Goldeneye Wii
Deadly Creatures
I would bring up MadWorld and House of the Dead: Overkill, but you could argue that they're about as "serious" as Gears of War.
EDIT:-
Also since Icemann is a JRPG fag:- The Last Story, Xenoblade, Pandora's Tower.

Aside from gimmicky controllers, Wii U has nothing going for it. Its hardware specs are inferior to the current gen consoles and its online services are backward as well.
And where are you basing that information on? Hmm, I've actually read the opposite since it's supposed to have directx11 and actually will have better specs than 360 or ps3. Not to say that what I've read is the truth, it's just that I'm seeing conflicting information on the Wii U.
I don't really know all the details of the specs for xbox360 and ps3, but the 360 only has 512mb of ram, right? The new wii u will have 2gb (half of that for OS, apparently.)

Hmm, upon further investigation while writing this post, I've gone to the official Nintendo site for specs and it doesn't supply specifics on the actual CPU/GPU, nor does it list RAM.
In any case, the footage I've seen at least shows the 'Wii U' to be better graphics than the last gen 'Wii.' I would think Nintendo would be a fool to skimp out on graphics/processing power this time, especially since they've got some third party devs on board with Aliens: Colonial Marines and Batman:AC, etc.

I don't know where you read that, but it's utter,
utter nonsense. Especially it having DirectX11. At best it can pull off graphics equivalent to the Xbox 360 (as far as polygon counts and shaders), but with a significantly less consistent framerate, and no anti-aliasing. Add in that a good chunk of processing power has to be reserved to send data to the GamePad and/or downscale and transmit the primary gameplay area to the GamePad, and it's just plain not going to be able to keep up.
