An AI model request... - by Zoro

:erm: Hmmm... OK, I'll see what I can do. This will be a challenge, but I'll give it a shot. I'm just not so sure about creating the motions for him. I'll have to explore the motion editor to see it can use the trickster skeleton layout. This will take a bit more time to make. :erg:

There is already a (
http://www.adrive.com/public/637bAc/Trickster.zip) higher poly version of the Trickster out there, and with a separate tail ... Schwaa (or Schwaa2) made it. IIRC it was pretty good. The tail could twitch up/down or side/side. That little bit of movement is killer in selling that the tail is real.
I thought you wanted Constantine, not the Trickster, or I would have mentioned this earlier.

Ah. I thought there was one already done. I guess now I'll just try to see if I can make some custom motions for it.

Constantine is the Trickster, and as he has only one in game model, I thought it was pretty clear. was not aware of a better model, will check it out, thanks.
@GORT: not sure whether you are going to continue working on that model, if so, the feet should be much more massive (they look so on the cutscene).

Constantine was the Trickster in human guise. He looks very different as Constantine in the cut scenes than he does as the Trickster in the final mission.I thought you wanted a Constantine AI. As I only knew of the Trickster one, I kept quiet. Personally, I think having a Constantine AI would be cool, just as having a Victoria AI would be cool . . .

I thought voodoo47 wanted a better version of the Trickster. He was talking about how he was walking too. Another nice thing about Schwaa's (or Schwaa2's) model is that it uses the humanoid creature layout. Making motions will be possible for it. As for a Victoria AI, I thought someone already made that too. I could be wrong.
However, making Constantine before turning into the Trickster should be doable. I'll see what I can do.

yes, I've definitely meant the Trickster model used at the end of T1 (sorry for the confusion) - so the new model needs to be compatible with the orig T1 endgame sequence. anyway, if the motions could be fixed, even the orig model would be pretty usable - the weird way of walking is the main source of the crappy looks, I believe.

He does have goat legs, not human ones . . . See this comparison of human to Satyr anatomy:

As you can see, the Knee is actually the 2nd major joint up and what we see as the "backwards knee" actually equivalent to our ankle joint.

Try walking on your tiptoes all the time without high heels to help out. Your walk would look stiff too! This is the best example I've seen of this type of walking motion in real life.
