Really? I've just been on for a couple of hours and removed a large portion of the lave (See! Lava springs work Dethy!)
So all we need to do is patch up holes, replant crops and we're back in business.

I am still going to look into a multi-world option, however; I found a seed that starts you off by a huge forest.

If anyone still cares, the server is now at 1.2, but until a new Craftbukkit comes in it's stuck on Vanilla Peaceful.
