An old thief just popping in.... - by Phyphor

I've been a Thief player ever since the original Thief Demo came out. I played the ever loving crap out of that demo, killing every guard until the game play style finally "clicked" and I began learning the Art of the Sneak.
I subsequently played T2 & T DS as well, (and yeah, TDS was a bit of a mess in some ways, but it did have some fairly cool things. Plus, it was based off of the Unreal Engine, which I'm pretty familiar with as in mapping & scripting, )
I've been reading these forums for a while, (about 2 years, give or take, ) and finally decided to jump in with the release of Thief: WTF?
Again, like TDS, it had some good ideas, but overall, WTF?
Greetings, all.

My advice to any old Thief fan is to not approach it as a Thief game, as it will suffer in comparison. Just play it as a new IP and it is not that bad in its own right.

People like you help me alleviate fears of nu-thiefites who would fill our forums with no understanding of The Old Ways...
Welcome, taffer.

Yup.
I read the Chronicles of Darkness a loooong time ago, and really the character Phyphor was the one I liked best, so I took the name.

You know, you are one of the only people that I know have read them, which I consider possibly the best fantasy/sci-fi series ever.
