Did you think that Gears of War was:-
A. Just another action game with an uninspired, virtually non-existent storyline and horribly written dialogue.
or
B. A subtle post-modern satire of Western action game cliches, Hollywood blockbusters and a jab at the Xbox's homophobic fratboy audience.

My opinion is A, to think anything else would be purely ludicrous and would be a total overestimation of CliffyB's intentions.

Wow. You're trying to tip this whole poll so far in favor of A it's ridiculous. Not just by pre-badmouthing anyone who even thinks about voting B. But A is actually something you can put your finger on, while B is rather untangible. Who the hell can proove what CliffyB had in mind when he designed the game? A and B aren't even mutually exlusive ffs. What kind of a CLOWN POLL is this?

Resident Evil had horribly written dialogue, and a rather uninspiried story. AND on top of that you had even crappier acting. Yet it's one of my favorite games of all time.
I understand the GoW hate around here, but i'm not part of it. I dont think it was amazing but I did find it fun. My biggest gripe about it is that it's actually just Unreal 3 changed to appeal to the Xbawks/Halo crowd, and because of that we'll most likely never see another SP Unreal game.
