So... does anyone else think it rather presumptous of them to be marketing their game as an unofficial UW3? I mean, I have high hopes and I wish them well but to claim a correlation with a now defunct company that can't step and and say, "Now wait a minute," feels more like a publicity ploy than anything else... oh dear. Now you're all going to think I'm being harsh and negative... c'est la vie...

Hi, I am one of the developers on the Arx team. I'm very honored to see that this forum now also talks about Arx.
I just wanted to say that we did not deliberately "marketed our game as an unofficial UW3". We do not want to show any disrespect to the creators of this fantastic serie by using their fame. It happens that we are big fans too, and this certainly have a big influence on Arx. We didn't know that mentioning the name of Underworld during these interviews would have such an impact, we were just trying to be honest and explain where our inspiration comes from rather than saying we invented it all...
Also,I'll be happy to answer your questions on this forum, just pardon my english, as you might have noticed, it is not my native language.

Welcome aboard, Raf! I'm glad to hear that the UW reference was more of a fan reaction to your comments than an official marketing stance! I noticed you had movies on your site and I plan on d/l them tonight when I get home.
I didn't mean to imply anything negative about the game itself (or the developers of it) with my comments. I do indeed look forward to ARX's release!

Raf, Ark looks great so far! Ever since it was brought up on the Ion Storm boards some weeks back I've been visiting your site daily hoping for more news, new screenshots, whatever!
I suppose the big question I have however, is as a part of the development team, do you guys have an idea as to when you are looking to make your release?
I know developers tend to stay far away from answering questions like these, out of fear that you'll have a few fans digging up old estimates and repackaging them as a 'promised release date', but I know there's a whole lot of us itching to get a shot at Arx and speaking for myself, I'd just like to know how long I'm going to have to wait!
Thanks again for bringing back the concept of one of the best series out there! You can sign me up for a pre-ordered copy now!
