At least she is intelligent enough not to hold a meeting with native Americans beneath a portrait of Andrew Jackson. Also her DNA test supported her having native blood. Also also she never used her blood for any grant or special privilege. Nobody has ever claimed to have given it consideration in hiring. Nope. She is just proud of it. Horrible I know.
It did, did it?
(

She's only Native American if you go by the "drop of blood rule", and she never claimed to have any ancestry until she was applying for a position at Harvard where she needed the edge
Besides which trying to use that for political fodder is hardly "just being proud of it".
You know what's amazing? We have a huge scandal here where, unless you believe that all these extremely improbable "coincidences" surrounding Ukraine are just coincidences, we have a state of affairs where the nation's highest officials set foreign policy and award billions of taxpayer dollars based on whether said foreign officials funnel money to their kids and hire/fire the prosecutors working the related corruption cases.
If US policy is for sale to the highest foreign bidder, we don't have a country anymore. But hey. Elizabeth Warren's one drop of blood is what's important.

"The President actually said to Nancy Pelosi, 'Hey, can we do something about this whistleblower complaint, can we work something out.' And she said 'Yes, you can tell your people to obey the law'."
That's rich coming from someone who accumulated a net worth of $120 million from a salary of $170k. Managing to save 2200% of your salary every year is impressive financial acumen.
Be careful what you wish for. This impeachment thing is a huge political mistake. Even New York Times is smart enough to realize that Trump may actually want an impeachment fight. Look up the article yourself. There's a non-trivial chance that the fight is going to drag up a lot of dirt on Biden that his supporters have pretended doesn't exist, while it's not going to pull up anything new about Trump that his voters actually care about.
Starker on 25/9/2019 at 03:49
It's not the Democrats who keep bringing up Warren's ancestry and she has never claimed to be Native American.
Also, Biden was in Ukraine representing official US policy, not to mention it lined up with other Western countries as well. This "huge scandal" is a nonstarter.

I thought you were supposed to work in finance? Or are you knowingly making a disingenuous argument? She was already wealthy before she started to get that salary of 170K. And a lot of that net worth is down to her husband's real estate holdings:
Quote:
(

In a nutshell, it all comes down to real estate. As it turns out, she and her husband have been heavily involved in real estate for several years. She actually owns a number of different properties, including several commercial properties that are used as apartment buildings or as office space for corporations. In addition, she has several other properties that can be used as vacation homes or in certain circumstances, homes that are rented out to other tenants. Make no mistake about it, she doesn't rent what you might consider a typical, modest home out to everyday citizens. The properties that she is involved with are extremely high-end and they bring a premium price. That's precisely how she has accumulated so much money over the years.
It's also worth noting that the $120 million isn't just counted in cash alone. As a matter of fact, all of the property that she owns is counted as assets in her net worth, so it's not fully understood just exactly how big her bank account itself is. What is understood is that if she were to need money at a fairly rapid pace, she has a lot of assets at her disposal that she could choose to liquidate. However, money doesn't seem to be a problem for her so many people speculate that her bank account is fairly large. If you really wanted to break it all down, you could track all of the property she owns and then determine the worth of each one, but most people are willing to take the net worth of $120 million at face value and leave it at that.

Do you listen to the things you post? She apologized for falling for the presidents goading and for any harm she may have caused native Americans with her claiming heritage which she did have. Call it a drop if you want but having a line of native Americans that begins mid nineteenth century that goes on back from then on is not nothing. She thought there was more as all we used to have to go on is what our parents told us was passed down before DNA. Nothing wrong with that. And no she claimed it before Harvard which she earned with grades and continued to earn afterward. Harvard learned of it from a faculty mixer and not a grant application or anything of that sort.
Get this straight- TRUMP USED IT FOR FODDER. Everyone knows that so saying anything else is just nuts. She fell for his goading and for that she apologized but Trump is the one who only has that flimsy crap against her and tries to use it while proving what a racist fuckwit he is by calling her Pocahontas .
But you are right in that Trumps latest idiocy is astoundingly blatant in the attempt to coerce a foreign government to fabricate evidence against an opponent with aid dangling as a bribe. The time line does not jibe for there to be any hanky panky Biden wise. Check out the NPR broadcast from today for further info.
And Vae... Jesus man. What does her having it on her bar registration have to do with a damn thing? Texas. Texas bar.
I'm falling for you idiots goading the way she did though so I'm off to bed. Have fun ignoring Trumps daily law breaking and immoral idiocy and making a big deal of minor crap from others I guess. You are a lost cause.

So she claimed Native American ancestry. What a huge scandal. It's not like she ran a fake university to scam people or paid off porn stars.
Tocky on 25/9/2019 at 04:24
You mean the university he was successfully sued over and the porn star he fucked while his wife was pregnant like a scumbag without morals?
Okay now I'm off to bed.

Hell, let's just take one of the recent ones where US military planes stopped to refuel at a commercial airport (at commercial rates) and the airmen stayed at Lord Dampnut's resort. Because those US military bases that are usually used for that purpose are not good enough, apparently. At least when it comes to enriching Lord Dampnut.

On previous trips to the Middle East, the C-17 had landed at U.S. air bases such as Ramstein Air Base in Germany or Naval Station Rota in Spain to refuel, according to one person familiar with the trips. Occasionally the plane stopped in the Azores and once in Sigonella, Italy, both of which have U.S. military sites, the person added.
But on this particular trip, the plane landed in Glasgow — a pitstop the five-man crew had never experienced in their dozens of trips to the Middle East. The location lacked a U.S. base and was dozens of miles away from the crew's overnight lodging at the Turnberry resort.
Had the crew needed to make a stop in the U.K., Lakenheath Air Base is situated nearby in England. The layover might have been cheaper, too: the military gets billed at a higher rate for fuel at commercial airports.
One crew member was so struck by the choice of hotel — markedly different than the Marriotts and Hiltons the 176th maintenance squadron is used to — that he texted someone close to him and told him about the stay, sending a photo and noting that the crew's per diem allowance wasn't enough to cover food and drinks at the ritzy resort.

If we're going by the book, I understand that if there's an impeachment vote it's likely they'll get the House vote. That will then formally be an "impeachment"; and then it's left to the Senate to ratify the impeachment, which would require a good amount of GOP backing since you have to get a supermajority vote (2/3). I don't know if they'll get that or not. But the point is, if they get that House vote, then the "1st Term Impeachment" voters are going to win this poll. I'm not going to start my victory lap just yet, but I'll start stretching anyway.
Edit: Well the (
https://www.axios.com/donald-trump-impeachment-odds-565c97d6-db67-4a2a-baea-39f32c055902.html) bookies flipped 3/5 for impeachment. That says something too, I guess.
