They are revoking security clearances from people who no longer receive security briefings? What's next, are they going to cancel their Netflix accounts as well?
Meanwhile, the very stable genius is displaying his usual brand of diplomacy: (

And like Hillary, Trump doing the same thing on an unsecured phone that has yet to be vetted and/or refreshed is just as potentially dangerous. It's also just as not-illegal. It's a breach of protocol. If he gets hacked, then it's on him. He'll have a ton to (theoretically) answer for. But the fact he's doing what he's doing isn't a felony.

Kinda makes me proud I'm not.

Dear Lord. If only he had done that with Trump. But no, his supporters would stick with him and defend his bare rump. I was curious what he had done with Bernie Sanders so I searched that one. I couldn't imagine Bernie falling for any of that sort of crap. He didn't. He just had the most hilariously puzzled look on his face.

I think we've come to a point in our history where we have to finally face down the demons of our history, surprised to find they haven't quite faded away the way we previously assumed. Unfortunately for us, it seems our demons might actually have a better than good shot at winning this fight.

Goddamnit man, you shouldn't have said that out loud. It's exactly how I feel. I thought we were doing better. I thought most folks were decent and good. I thought we were all too smart to fall for manipulation by the rich. I thought we were headed toward a better world, sure slowly and painfully, but headed in the right direction and good would win out. Now I know at least half the folks I run into are idiots falling for hate mongering and easily led away from truth by their bias and hatred. I know the rich can and will manipulate the idiots into demonizing the poor and worshiping them. Money. Damn that foul crap and every taint on what we could be without it. We should have made it to Mars by now. I would like to see that before I die. It would give me hope again.

What I don't get is how "socialist left" is still such a dirty word in the US in 2018. If polls are to believed, most people in the US support "socialist left" politics, such as Social Security (that Ryan and co have been trying to do away with), universal healthcare, workers' rights, civil liberties, etc. Not to mention that most other developed nations have long embraced them.

Tocky, we may yet get to Mars. I just don't know if the US will be the one carrying that torch, considering we're more than willing to kill everything that made the country great in order to save itself.
Starker, let me tell you how to catch wild pigs. See, what you do is go out to the woods, and throw out a bit of corn where you know wild pigs congregate. Do this for a few days, and you'll eventually see them coming around regularly. After awhile, they start associating that patch of woods with free corn. Once they start coming regularly, put a single side of a fence out. The pigs might be suspicious of it at first, but they'll quickly grow used to it. Once they do, put up another side of the fence. Wait. Do it a 3rd time. Wait. Once they're used to their little corral, you can throw in that final bit of fence, and you'll have caught yourself a few wild pigs.
THIS IS HOW COMMUNISM WORKS! GIVE 'EM AN INCH FOR THAT SWEET FREE CORN, AND EVENTUALLY YOU'RE THE TRAPPED PIG!
