The whole thing is still just alluded to, but it definitely points to Gamall as being the 'cause' of the crew's death. Not so clear on whether its her doing that they're zombies or not . . . but again that city seems to have issues with zombies anyway. Be it the pagans, the hammers or something they ate for supper the day they died. But I'd say we have enough evidence that she is involved in their deaths at any rate. :)

Well, my favourite theory was that the Captain tried to "read" the glyphs but because he isnt gifted they poisoned his mind and corrupted him --> llike The One Ring...
(the text about "captain is out of his mind/wants us to search" reminded me somehow on Lord of the Rings - like the addicted ringbearer, he feared to loose his treasure/forgot where he puts it.....)
Then this "Glyph Corruption" spread like a plague and turned them to undead...
Anyway. Now I like DJ Riffs theory most. It´s both creative and logical....
About the zombies: Guess thats simply Gamalls way to deal with men when she doesnt need a new skin/flesh and/or apperance....
About the deleted ghost scene: Maybe then Moira´s ghostly appearance would have looked like Lauryl´s as Gamall stole both bodies...
@DJ Riff: You seem to know quite a lot about thief lore. What are your ideas about the topics "The origin of the Trickster", "The Old Gods", "Karath-Din", "ARE Kurshok and Precursers one and the same", "how does a zombie form", "how does glyphs work".... :cheeky: :thumb:

It cannot be read without the glyph key, can it? Oh well, I have to see what John P did with the compendium...I thought he mentioned something...

Just a note with the audio recording- if you listen to the man die, to me at least, it *really* doesn't sound like a 'normal' death, much more like Gamall's work. And if it were a zombie, wouldn't we hear it?

He "tried" to read it - I mean he tried to open it - physical contact with the glyphs.....

He tried to melt it down, you can read that inside the seaside manor. So I don't think he recognized that it was something readable at all. That's the purpose of using a glyph key.
