Dyald's previously unheard of mission (maybe you did hear, I dunno): "Damsel in Distress" is nearing the final stages of release preparation. His mission just might be released within the next several days, perhaps this week! I've beta-tested and completed it and must that it will definetly be worth the download when released :thumb:. The mission combines elements of horror, adventure, a touch of mystery, plenty of drama, an itty smudge of romance (but not much, 'cause you don't care about that, right?), and loads of action. What I think you get is quite a deus ex machina (not the game), with the mission hinting slightly of the Mechanist pushing into the future with the possibility of being led by yet another madman. Here's my take on the situation; Distress delivers:
-A tightly packed, nicely organized, coherent plot
-A bunch of custom textures
-Several new skins
-A new villian
-Garrett's sweetheart? (you'll have to see for yourself)
-Great architecture, especially for an author's first mission
-Decent voice acting (I think :) )
-Gratuitous violence (everybody's more interested in a mission with it :laff: )
-First mission in a possible series
-Flowing landscape and story; not slow, not too fast; not too simple or complex
-New paintings (people always like those!); I mention this because I like this missions paintings
-A gripping ending
-Finally GUARANTEED to be released before Thief 2 Expansion: Shadows of the Metal Age and the Second Mission of the Circle of Stone and Shadow! (I just HAD say that! HA HA HA HA! :D )
So, if you have any questions, post them here (PLEASE!), I hope to see replies (and more than my flop "So Long, Hammers" thread, which I started without noticing Old Burrick had already created one).
Alrighty, onto the show!

Wow! :wot: I didn't expect this kind of review. Thanks M D .
Hopefully, you will be able to download it tomorrow or the next day as it is in the final stages of testing. The minute the final version (final is relative of course) is ready it will be posted.
