I got the damsel, the loot requirement, and can get back to the cabin fine. I have not found the sky blue gem yet. Can anyone give a hint? I am sure that I had to miss something (duh), as the mansion has HUGE areas and I hate looking for something tiny in places like the fountain room, etc. Going over everything AGAIN ... :bored: ...

Check the
2nd to the top floor (or one of the higher floors). There should be a room with score of security systems and several of Talanvor's guards. The Sky gem's in an obvious location.
I complained about it during betatesting.

No keys? Well, if all else fails, try deleting your copy of the file and downloading a new copy. But be sure to hold onto your savegames.
Another question, are you inside or outside the cage?
The key is supposed is not supposed to go into your inventory, if that is what was expected. Talanvor is supposed to place it on the control panel and leave.
If the key cannot be found I don't know what to tell you.
Sorry. I'm not very good at giving technical advice.
Thanks anyway, and for your question I am inside the cage but I discovered that I had the version 2 of the mission, so I've downloaded the newer version, maybe this will fix the bug. Thanks a lot

in the eariler versions there was a set of circumstances that when they occured, would cause the key to teleport to the wrong place or not appear at all, I do believe this is fixed in the latest version. which can only be found at (
http://www.thiefmissions.com) (if you are not sure, the newest file is 13 mbs instead of 15)

How I did the last bit.
I jumped out of the cage using a rope, after bashing down the planks. Pressed the right button to make Elayne pass out, picked up the key, and using a rope jumped back into the cage. Unlocked the the prison door. Waited for the monster to turn up. He doesn't come into the cage, so I pelted him with every missile I had.. When he was gone I jumped out again with Elayne and made for home. The other monsters make such a racket that if you just stand still in shadows he does't see you. Went back through the town.
Lovely FM. Loved the rooms in the mansion, good proportions. Terrific.
