Tired of playing your fave mission and then realizing that the loot goal is off because of some reason or 'nuther? Or there's a door that won't open and you know it's supposed to?
Welcome to (
http://www.bogadocious.com/thief/fixed/fixed.html) Fixed Missions, my attempt at providing drop-in replacement files for the fan base. Simply D/L the "fixed" file and drag it into the directory. Or, to make the change permanent (my recommendation), deleting the "bad" file in the zip archive by overwriting it with the "fixed" one. That way, when you play the mission 10 years from now, you won't be scratching around for that missing loot you forgot about in your old age.

Nice, this is great. I'm a little worried about you though. Maybe you should leave town for a few weeks, things are going to get a little hot around here. Maybe go down to Mexico and give things in this thread a chance to blow over.

Note:

* These are drop-in replacements, not the entire mission zip for whatever FM.
* I don't offer an alternative site for D/L'ing FMs (except my own), where they are "different."
* It's totally up to the player to decide for him or herself whether or not they want to mess with changing an FM that resides on their hard drive.
* No one's trying to make any money here, nor claim authorship (the essence of copyright).
* Nothing was changed artistically. And believe me, I saw a lot of slop that I was tempted to correct but didn't.

Thanks, Ricebug!
I have a small idea to improve it further:
Put the date of the page revision/modification at the top or bottom so that people can see if there have been changes.

Ah, nice one Ricebug. :D
I am responsible for some of the "reports" in the other thread (issues were "collected" there).
Going through the list now, I was intrigued by your descriptin for Dark Messiah.
The two loot items I could not find are supposedly in an 'alms box'. What is that, and can you please describe where it is? I've searched SO long to try to get to the coordinates/relative to other loot pieces from the info I have from TTLL and Lazy Taffer.
And as for Bane II, then what/where is the missing 100 loot?

Thanks, Ricebug. I've added this to the Links sticky.
Edit. downwinder, I've moved your post and voodoo's response to the appropriate thread: (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143759) Missions that won't work properly with NewDark. Please keep this thread for discussion about Ricebug's fixed missions.

Here are a couple of screenies to help you out:

I checked a bunch of loot in the report (tedious) but could find none. I looked for stuff worth 100, 50, & 25. So without an object number (which I greatly appreciated, BTW) I'm at a loss.

This is awesome Ricebug! I made a thread not long ago addressing the same issue. Judging by the list of missions, I assume you saw it.
Ricebug on 15/6/2014 at 16:41
I couldn't remember who had made that list. But if you have anymore, I'll add them.
BTW, I will not interfere with missions where the author is still active on these forums. I will contact whoever and let them know, and if they're unwilling to fix their own work, then I'll ask their permission to do so. 'Nuff said.
