Can anyone tell me what to do about this error message? Thanks so much. I haven't played Thief 3 before.

It's 'Flesh failed to initialize' and the reason for it can be found in the crazily-bright red FAQ at the top of this forum.

If the card is unsupported, yes.

how do I find out if my card is supported or not? I can see the list in the FAQ, but I don't know where to look here on my computer.

Right-click on the My Computer icon, and choose "Properties". Then go to the "Hardware" tab in that window, and press the "Device Manager" button.
This will bring up a list of all the devices in your computer. Doubleclick on "Display Adapters" and it will show you the name of the graphics card you have installed. Hopefully, the name of your card will indicate the graphics chipset it uses, which is what's listed in the FAQ and on the back of the Thief DS box.
If not, then do a google search for the name of that card and you will be able to find out the graphics chipset from a product specifications page.

Although you'll almost certainly find that your card/chipset is not supported, but it's good to know about using Device Manager regardless.
