Heh, Orlie seems like he might be a good candidate for a hammerite :p
Gillie on 3/5/2009 at 16:57
They are so good @Redface
Dia too you are so good at these. Orlando is pretty I like him though
handsome man.
Orlando as a Hammer oh no. What about Basso? Joseph Fiennes would be good also.

Thanks Gillie. I agree with Ixitixl though; I think Orlie would make a great Hammerite! Joseph Fiennes as Basso might work too. :cheeky:

If I may, who the heck is Viggo?
redface: Damn, I love your style! It looks so cool! Nice job with sticking Viggo's face into the picture. Do you mind, if I ask... what is your style? That is, what do you do? maybe not a multi-step by step explanation, but a summary of how you create these awesome pictures. (If you don't mind.:) )
Could you make one with my face?:cheeky:

Viggo was the King in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. You don't find out till later he is the king. There was one screen shot I saw of him recently, it reminded me of the first time you see him. He's in a bar, he's cloaked, head down, he reminded me so much of Garrett.

OH! Hmm... It's been years since I watched The Fellowship of the Ring, or The Two Towers. I never did see the third film. (I know, I need to...:laff:)
Anyway, I don't recall a Viggo, but again my excuse is that it was years ago since I saw the films, and maybe he's in the third one which I haven't seen.

It definitely is worthy to see the whole thing, I recommend it!:)

In this particular case I took the face photo and painted the thief around it (:laff:), then added some basic background. At that point I decided I want the artwork to be all mine and deleted the photoface, then painted in my own version. Some more refining and polishing and the artwork was finished.
I don't really have a set style, every other day I work in an entirely different way. Here's (

Sure, but only if we consider it a commissioned work (read: paid), as I don't really have the time to goof around painting random people for fun (that are not from hollywood :eww:).

Bloom is too womanish, he doesn't fit. The candidate proposed by jtr7 could approach, but he's still to far from the Garrett's canon.
For Garrett the choice must be an ugly face, slim and gaunt face, proved by the life fatigues.
Sincerely, I don't have a proposal for an actor...

Ah, I see! So you took the actor's real face, but then in the end removed it and just painted his face. That's awesome. I guess you more or less answered my following question, but I was actually wondering what tools (i.e. pencils, paintbrushes, digital software, etc.) you use? (Which is why I mentioned what your "style" was, as it looks like watercolor paints or something.) Nice youtube video btw!:)
Regardings a picture of me... That was mostly meant as a compliment to your work, and not technically a real offer for it. Ah, yes, I understand what you mean. I actually have to admit though that it would be cool if you did one of me, but I don't think I could pay for it (well maybe I could, it's something to consider. Perhaps we could talk more of this by PM.)
