You probably think that because I mentioned Stupidity Is The Only Option both times. Well that and you flailed your arms at me for having contrary opinions.
Strife: neat ideas that were very new for their time, poor execution. Combat was boring (a rare feat considering it's the Doom engine,) scripts broke very easily, music was annoying, sound effects sounded like wet farts on wet napkins, voice acting was mediocre, plot wasn't interesting enough to justify the other faults.

I think he was replying to a post I made about it. I mentioned in "what are you playing.." that I was playing it, he said the same thing.
He's probably right.. except for the don't bother part of it. I think its rad.

Thanks for the link.
Why does everybody in the FM forum sign their posts? Must be contagious.

A quick glance at those threads suggests that it's not identical, and that it's probably not the 'complete' Strife, but it sounds like a really awesome set of missions for a Thief and Strife fan to play, so thank you for that! :)

I discovered Strife recently and loved it. I was completely hooked while playing through it and recommend it wholeheartedly.

I remember playing it back in the day. I loved it.

Agreed.
However, as with many games don't spoil the golden glow of that memory by going back and actually playing it again. That way disappointment lies.

That's how I ruined Iron Storm for myself, yeah. I'm kinda scared to replay Return to Castle Wolfenstein for the same reason.
On the same coin, however, I actually enjoyed the Megaman series better.

I did a replay of RtCW - didn't get very far. It definitely wasn't as good as I remember.
