[...]where exactly do I shoot them?
Is it supposed to be obvious? All I have is a clue about the rock wall by the sequoia hiding somthing. There are no distinguishing marks on the wall to let me know where to shoot; or am I trying the completely wrong tactic, here?
It's standard knowledge you're asking about. Most players here on the forums don't expect someone not knowing how to find a hidden door when the area to search is relativly small. So let me introduce you to some "secret" knowledge:
The wall where you have to shoot the firearrow into can easily be discovered by simply walking up close to any of the rocky walls. Now draw your sword and push the parry button. If you don't hear anything, then the wall you are standing in front of is not the right one to shoot at. If you are right, you should hear a clang-sound. In this case the wall you are looking for is standing perpendicular on the ground plane and is exactly opposite the entrance of the area.
I swear I tried that and nothing happened... well, I've got it now, thanks

Is it only me?
I'm finding it impossible to get through the tree beasts. Even if I extinguish all lamps, it's still way too light, and I end up with about 23 beasts chasing me! Is one supposed to be able to creep here, so that I can pick up the loot I see all around on the ground (as I'm running at about 500 miles per hour)

Yes, it's a tough area there (well where in GORTs mission is it not). I did it this way: first put out every torch and every lightmush you can. Then head carefully to the fallen and hollow tree. Behind the fallen tree there you can hide, climb onto the log if necessary. There should be some shadow. Put out the rest of the lights from here, then wait and save. If everything calms down, silently drop down and quickly enter the hollow log (the fallen one), fetch the loot and again wait for the treebeasts to calm down. Now save and climb into the remains of the root of that tree, loot the place and again wait and save. Now climb back out of the root and run like hell back to the sequoia tree where you came from and hide. When everything is quiet again, save, then make your way back into the treabeast area. This time stick yourself to the left wall and crouch always in the shadows. If you are carefull you can now reach the corner unnoticed. You can evade the last treabeasts in this area in a wide bow. Don't become too happy now, there is still some more to come. Good luck.
Um, I did it again. I made my way up to the top
of the rock wall in the sequoia area.
I don't think I'm supposed to be up there.
I read about a wall that could be blasted down, but can't find it.
Edit: Ok I found it.

You mean the "Look for some information with in this strange city." objective, right?
In the hotel, there is a guy who has a conversation with a guard. Overhear the conv. and the objective should be checked.
Help needed with the right melody.
I think I've played the right melody, in fact I've played all combinations, but nothing happens. Is there something else to this, or ....?

Are you talking about the angels room?
I've already posted the correct sequence here. When you got it right, there will be no more than a clicking sound. Go to the library then and look what has changed.
