Hmmm...
What difficulty are you on? The higher the difficulty, the more loot there is to find.

I am unable to find a few things in Mystic Estate.
A vase upstairs that I can smash to loook for a key, and Christine and catacombs. Unless that's the hidden library with the flying killer books.
I'm on Sissy, does that make a difference?
Also, in the second mission:
What's the little square in the garden area that you can stand on and it makes a noise? Does that do something special?

1: On the mechanist floor, look for two double doors with a lockbox in between. The vase you are searching for is on a table in one of the rooms opposite of these doors.
2: The library with the killing books is close to christine, but you have to find two frobbable books in the bookshelf with the broken ladder. Look high!
3: this little square turns off a teleport trap which is preventing you from reaching a secret chest. Search the garden again to find it. You'll know that you have found it when you used the key from that woman near the pavilion on that chest.
I'm playing "Man's World". Total loot = 9375 (I have 7944), Total secrets = 11 (I have 10).
I played Mystic Estate in its prior release, and do not remember another secret chamber of loot besides the ones that I have already found. One thing I do seem to recall in the first release, that I did not see in this one was
a gold nugget on a pedestal behind a statue, just outside of the area with the fountain. Do I recall correctly, or not?

Lock box as in the little square lock on the wall right? I never thought to give those a name :) How do I open those? I think I tried picking them. I couldn't even blow them up.
Also, I still can't find those
frobbable books. It's where the ghost lady is walking, and you have to jump shelves to get there? (she freaks me out, I hit her with a blackjack and she turned into a vampire!)
How to unlock them depends on the design of the mission. In this case unlock it with
the key from that vase. You can't
open the lockbox itself but it will (un-)lock something else. The name "lockbox" simply comes from DromEd.
About the books: you are searching in the right area, search
the shelf below the catwalk (you'll have to jump). Also a flare could come in handy here.. You can safely ignore the apparition lady on top and the guy below the catwalks. They only get mad if you threaten them. But lookout for
the haunts and zombies in the surrounding area -- they'll attack immediately.

You do. And it's still there if you play on

I need help:
How do I get the second wall open in the caves, behind the apes?
DarkElf_Mairead on 23/4/2006 at 12:55
Thanks SinisterShadow :) I was thinking that you said it was in one of the locked rooms, not opposite it.
