No, the portable switch is intentional (some sort of a gag by GORT) but the location you found it, was not.
And about that rope arrow again: these two doorframes there are looking promising

yeah, I thought of that already, but it wasn't working for me. But I got to the loot anyway....
I didn't realize that the rope arrow will secure to the wallpaper
What's this about the theatre room. It's not even close to the painting.

@Clock
Never mind. It was just in case you haven't found the rope arrow yet.

Okay, I must be thick or something here but how
do you open the secret panel in the dining room...in mission 1. I was on mission 3, which I managed to complete before I accidentially saved over it when I decided to go back and find some more loot and lots of the secrets I missed first time around so I'm back to square one. D'oh!:confused: :confused:
@suewan
Use a fire arrow.
Boy, putting the gamma correction up has sure helped in this fan mission. My old CRT monitor was exceedingly light and now my new LCD makes playing mission 2 next to impossible. But that's not my question.....
There is a reference earlier in this thread about a girl needing rescue. To gain access to that room I need to climb through a window. But the rope arrow won't attach to anything, and there are no crates to stack in order to get up through the window. I tried pieces of the mechbot to climb up on, but it isn't working.
Is there a crate somewhere that I missed, or something I can use to hoist myself up and through that window containing a crib (and some loot I noticed).

@clock
That's not the right way in.
Use the door opposite to the pool (you'll need the key from that vase on the top floor)
Clock on 30/4/2006 at 20:29
Yes, I found out how to get in there from an earlier post from GORT to Wildwilbur.Thanks anyway.
Now, back to mission 2.

The second wall, guarded by apebeast and 2 fireballs. I do not have a flare or a fire arrow. How do I get that wall to open ?
SinisterShadow on 30/4/2006 at 20:55
What wall exactly are you talking about? There are two in the area.
The first is opened by putting out a flame on a pedestal across a lava stream. The second opens if you light a torch behind the first wall. There is a fire arrow hidden in one of these big stone pillar like things in the lava in front of the ledge with the burrick.
