What's up with that red force field tho - has some loot behind it - how I get thru it?

GD!!!! I am getting close to just quitting this one! This teleport room is just idiotic!
No matter which doorway I first go thru, I end up back in the teleport room, and then choosing another doorway just sends me to some room I have already been in while exploring the house!
(wait jus a durn minnit here! that "line gobbledygook" I mentioned on the plaque - is THAT the path????? ie: ahead,left.left,left,ahead?

(and now each doorway just sends me back here! Getting freakin dizzy on this not-so-merry-go-round!) :grr:
Okay - stubborn ole cuss that I am - I finally got to a new room - with a NOW dead crayman and a guy it must have killed. Did I go right way?

There are actually two rooms with 8 portals in each. I suggest dropping an item in one of them so you know if you are in the first or in the second room. And then just test the different portals systematically (I relied heavily on the compass and made a map to keep track).
Some of the portals will teleport you to locations where you drop from lethal heights...:ebil:

tho not lethal it did drop me from the top of the bookcases in the first library one time! :mad:

Tho now that I am back in the house proper I will do the rest of the rooms I have'nt been in before going back to that ferschugginer 'porting room! :erg:
I think GORT's hint about looking thru the windows in the back (to see the "pagan child") are bogus - only one you can see more than the roof thru (cuz they are well above your head level!) is the pool window - then all you can see is the diving board! :p
(if the child is the diving board, oopsie - sorry little one, did'nt mean to do a triple gainor with a one half twist off of ya! :cheeky:)
OH - Jiansonz - does the 1st teleport room ALWAYS send you to the second one?

red force field: To get in there, you'll need to kill Sir Fredrick (he's guarding Christine III's sword. He'll drop the switch. To get to him, kill Christine III first.
If you have problems with the teleport room, the clue is on that big plaque by the fresh zombie. It should show you something like this...
***************** In the teleport room, First left and then right.
*xxxx|___ xxxxxxxxxx* This will take you to Christine III to fight. Be prepared, she's very mean.
*xxxxxxxx|xxxxxxxxxx* (The x's are only there to keep it's shape.)
***************** That should tell you which way to go.
As for the pagan kid. You can find a key to the door by busting a vase on the top floor. Use a fire arrow to the mechanical kid to reveal the pagan kid and the art gallery key.

(and here I wuz about to say "Sawblade Shooter" sux! :o) - really tho - hard to aim and does less damage than plain old arrow - best used as a decoy tool!

Yeah, found the kid, but ya really can't see him from outside in back- window is just TOO high for that - nice ceiling tho! oy!! :p :cheeky:

('left' and 'right' usually doesn´t work for me when following directions, because they require me to also know which direction I should be facing)
First room:
S: Here is where you enter from the room with the 'rising wind'.
SW: To 2nd room
W: To 2nd room
NW: Dropped into the Pool
N: To 1st room
NE: To 1st room
E: To 2nd room
SE: To room on 3rd floor with craybeast
Second room:
S: To Christine!
SW: To library, and you take heavy damage from the fall
W: To 1st room
NW:To 2nd room
N: To 1st room
NE: To 1st room
E: To 2nd room
SE: Teleported outside main entrance (BAD if the bots are still around...)

I got really lucky with Christine! The dumb bimbo (spirit or otherwise!) got herself wedged in between the wall and the statue near the
zomb pit so I just strolled on in,
hit the switch, then got the sword and came back and laid her (to rest)
