"The Trickster's Loot Locator" - loot tool for Thief1/ThiefGold/Thief2 - by gnartsch

(
http://www.gnartsch.de/Download/ttll-0_4_2_alpha.zip) Version 0.4.2alpha is up.
Much detail refinement & rework has been done behind the scenes like in the previous alpha versions, but I would say it is fairly stable.
Many of the changes might not be easily noticed, but there are a few highlights as well.
* Containers (e.g. an AI or a chest) may contain multiple items (e.g. an Archer with a pickable key, an arrow and a purse). Now it is clearly indicated whether these items are on the SAME AI or not.
* Since there are secrets with / without external triggers, I indicate these secrets now either like
?_S# or
?!_S#.
As for the last category (not the
! after the
?) : instead of searching the Secret, you need to find the Trigger (indicated with
!_T#) !
* The lootlist below the map is now
sorted by name and
grouped by category:
Start cash (if any), followed by Loot, Non-loot Pickpockets (like keys, arrows, ...), Secrets, Triggers

(
http://www.gnartsch.de/Download/ttll-0_4_3_alpha.zip) Version 0.4.3alpha is up.
There is not much new stuff, just some details.
- I added support for Secrets via DromED reports as well, but only the number of Secrets is shown,
since no coordinates are availlable. So they will only show in the Stats, but not on the map.
- TTLL will now always report the number of Secrets and Pickpockets (with lazytaffer only) in the Stats,
but in order to see the location on the map you will still need to specify /showSecrets or /showPickPockets.
- I added support for a logfile.
So the output to the console is now minimal and only shows some essential info (and errors if any).
The rest goes straight into the logfile.

(

After some more testing on the previous alpha versions, it is now officially released.
Only some labels & hovertexts needed some fixing.

I really must have a go with this. I'm always rubbish at finding loot.

Hmmm... maybe I should also post at least a rough description of possible tags along with an explanation what they mean:
<table><tbody><tr><td><font style="background-color: rgb(185, 185, 185); color: rgb(255, 255,
255);">Z1</font></td><td>Z-position (starting from 0 where the 'lowest' loot is located)<br>
By default, each higher number roughly correlates to a higher level within
a typical mansion/house</td></tr><tr><td><i><u><small>GreatHall</small></u></i></td><td>Name of the room/area (if provided by the mission author and availlable
with DromEd reports only)</td></tr><tr><td><B><I>3</I></B> Coins (20)</td><td>3 individual coins located more or less close to each other (within the
same 'cell')</td></tr><tr><td>>Copper$ (5) <i><small>(FootLocker)</small></i><</td><td>1 CopperCoinStack which is contained(><) within a <i><small>(FootLocker)</small></i>. So the loot can probably not be frobbed, but will be obtained by opening
the container (lockbox, footlocker, safe, etc.)</td></tr><tr><td>><B><I>*</I></B> Purse (100) <i><small>(MaleServ1)</small></i><</td><td>A purse contained(><) within <i><small>(MaleServ1)</small></i>. The label <i><small>(MaleServ1)</small></i> indicates that you will find it rather worn on a person instead of being
located within some container.<BR>
LazyTaffer only : The * points out that this is considered to be a PickPocket.
Besides loot also PickPockets on other equipment (like keys, weapons, potions)
are pointed out this way.</td></tr><tr><td><font color="#600000"><I><B>§</B></I> Prized Poker</font></td><td>A 'Prized Poker', which happens to be a Special(§) item. It may be important
for some specific objective or bonus objective, but typically has no loot-value.</td></tr><tr><td><I><B>2</B></I> FineWine (50)<font color="#0000e0">H</font><font color="#e00000">E</font></td><td>2 FineWine, availlable on <font color="#0000ff">Hard</font> and <font color="#cc0000">Expert</font> only</td></tr><TR><TD><font color="#800080"><i><b>? </b></i>S1 Up/Down Switch</font></TD><TD>Secret #1. Gnartsch,
I've tried to send you PM's but your mailbox appeared to be full and bounced them back :(
I just discovered TTLL now, and it was obviously my inexperience rather than any of its features that left me, for the first time, a bit perplexed (and made me call it, under that first impression - and indeed innocently - "finicky" -:o )
I have since tried it with a few other FM's and as I'm beginning to get the feel of it I find it a real pearl!:D
Thank you for caring,
Csamba

I agree that some of the notations are rather cryptic.
I should definetely add some 'legend' in the output, so one can easily look up what it means.
One reason why I decided to use such a cryptic notation is because I wanted to allow people to print it out.
