Hi All:
I just finished this great mission on expert.
In killing Dragul, I did not use any of the weapons stored in the pit. I went down, opened the door with pit key and went back up the ladder, then hoppedn out on the door ledge.
I shot a few broadheads and the sole gas mine in the mission to make noise, and when he came to the bottom of the shaft, I threw my last two flash bombs.
Then I shot all the fire arrows I had (5 if I remember correctly), followed by holy water arrows. I did the same thing in both normal and hard, too.
After he was done, I went to the pit for the loot, horn, and weapons.
I only found 5,672 out of 6,472 loot, though.

Well I finally got around to this, since finding my TG disc, and thought it was excellent fun. I particularly enjoyed being able to
kill the zombie with one swipe of my sword!
I don't mind them when I can do that.
And I do so love
getting new objectives as I go along.
Thank you very much darthslair. It was a great antidote to another rainy day. And John Donne is also a particular favourite, and being reminded, I've just read Meditation XVII again, so extra bonus points for that. :D

Glad you are playing thief gold. Dragul is fun to destroy. He can also be
destroyed by:
Sneaking up behind him time and time again since
"The Defender" sword also has some magical properties. This tactic does take some effort though!
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks!:D

Just played this one.
Great little FM. :thumb:
Well constructed - it's one of the few that I haven't needed help in completing. Loved getting all the
novices to chase me around and then lock them up somewhere
:ebil:

Where are Jonathan's rosary beads? The walkthrough on Thiefmissions.com doesn't include the location.

I will see if I have a 3 year memory lapse. Go up through the roof hatch from the Keepers room, and then as you drop down from the secret door inside the Cathdedral it should be on the small table just under the secret door.

Your memory is quite correct, that's exactly where it is. Thanks to your help, I was able to finish this much improved revamp of Keeper of the Bell. Fun is Fun!! :)
How can the graves in the courtyard be labeled "unknown" when the parents of the deceased come visiting them?
darthsLair on 6/11/2010 at 19:33
Glad you thought it was fun ! :)
Why are some of the graves unmarked or unknown? Priest Chalizar had conspired to keep the death of some of the Bell Keepers a secret. With the deceit came confusion, and mystery. The Priest had to inform the Parents of some of the Bell Keepers because there was wittnessed accounts of the deaths. The Vistor's Journal had also been rigged to fool everyone, so embarrassment wouldn't come to the order, because of Chalizars foolishness.
When I revise this late on, my book skills have improved since then, and also there will be some conversations throughout the mission to help tell the story. I also plan a revamp of the Bell Tower so access is available from a lower roof. Climbing up to the Bell Tower and entering above the Bell to wittness a Murder in action. I know some things are better left to one's imagination.:)
