It really pisses me off when people say things like "Dan Brown got it all wrong in the Da Vinci Code". They say it like it was a frickin documentary. He took some somewhat unrelated facts and wove an interesting story about them. Take your damn heads outta your arses and accept it for what it is. FICTION!

Actually, Brown took what was an established (but out there) 'conspiracy theory', already put forward in other sources, and tied a work of fiction to it.
He, himself, is not the one that did the detective work in order to come up with the story - it'd already been done by others.
Take a look at what happened when the authors of "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" attempted to sue Mr. Brown - he had cited their book as a primary resource for his fiction; but because he made so much bloody money with it, they wanted some of it for the fact that he didn't pay them for their work. I actually believe he borrowed the book as well, so he didn't even contribute the cost of his own copy.

Was it something I said, do you think? :)
Actually, on doing a bit of research on Akiva Goldsman, I see he also produced a film called
Constantine in 2005. Mmm, the plot thickens!
