So are you guys saying all I need is this latest T2 fixer (1.27b) and a raw T2 install to be good to go? I have collected so many scripts and crap over the years Id love to just delete them. Aside from the c++ thing and the direct x I am sure I already have.

Yes, vanilla T2 and T2Fix to patch it to NewDark is all you need. I recommend you uncheck any optional components in T2Fix.

Yes, it's possible. Just enable it through the USER.CFG file.
