Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone can help me over here..... due to some personal reasons I was only able to get a copy of TDS just recently (even though I'm a huge Thief fan & completely addicted) & now I'm stuck.
I just finished the Clocktower mission last night & got thrown in Old Quarter, everything went fine till I got the objective to go back to Garrett's apartment. So I look in my map & the closest (& easiest) way to get there is through the Docks. So I save the game & go into the mist....... then I find out the 'door' to South Quarter isn't working (duh! :sweat:).
I ran around everywhere in the Docks area but I have no idea how to get out from there! Where is the gate?? :confused: There has to be a way out since there were enforcers in there & the way through Stonemarket is so long! Right now I'm allied with the Hammers so I never explored Pagan territory, is the exit from there? Or am I doomed to finish the mission the long way?

None of the PORTALS work. You must go from wherever you landed when the CLOCKTOWER was finished.
The GLYPHS no longer work. Your next mission will be to "unlock" the GLYPHS so that the portals are reactivated.
Go to the apartment from wherever you landed at the destruction of the CLOCKTOWER.

I finished that part. Right now I'm running from the enforcers (who area seriously creeping me out). I found out about the glyphs. Right now I have to go back to Garrett's apartment, & I have 2 choices, either through the Docks (which I thought would be faster) OR through Stonemarket........ I just wasn't expecting the only entrance/exit in the Docks area to be the one that leads to Old Quarter. From what I remember there should be another gate connecting South Quarter to the Docks area, beside the Keeper portals... or I really hope there is!
Edit: ok that sounded even more confusing..... what I mean: Is there another way to get to South Quarter directly from the Docks besides the Keeper portal?

Your next mission involves the KEEPERS. You must enter the compound (it's tricky because the GLYPHS don't work) You need to climb the wall and go in the window READ your Objectives.
With the Glyphs locked, you have no choice but to use the city gates. There is no other way. The only way in or out of the docks is through a portal.
Forget the "Shortcut" and just go through the city.

Aw crap! So I need to take the long way through Stonemarket. Thanks for your help Blackman, I guess I just have to toughen up & face those assassins. Thanks for the quick reply :thumb:
My objectives tell me to go to Garrett's apartment to meet whoever left the note in the dead fence's place *takes a deep breath* that's gonna take a while!

Shouldn't the Abysmal Gale be away and the quarantine lifted by now? So you can simply follow the twisted street up to the City gate to SQ...?

The only city gate I saw was the one I came in from near the keeper portal that's locked now (the one that leads to Old Quarter), there's another gate somewhere?

That's the one I know & entered from.... thanks again everyone. Seems I'll just have to forget about the Docks & just go through the Stonemarket gate in Old Quarter to get back to Garrett's place :D
