No problem....;) Funny thing is, all this time I HAVEN'T been playing thief gold with the texture patch... I tested it as you can see, and I kind of like thief gold's look with the older textures... hmm.

What's with the "do fish get thirsty" ?:weird:
Maybe your game was prepatched? What version of thief is it first off?
You can find out by the autorun menu. (vers will be in the corner)
The other way to find out is to look at the version info on the exe by going to properties. The last way is to play thief and then alt + shift + v.

So tried reinstalling Thief gold.
My first problem right occurs with the dark loader, if I answer yes to "ye want to optimise?" i get an scripterror and darkloader stops working, starting new will not result in a new "want tto optimise" question.
Same problem with timeslip's ddfix. Scripterror.
Anyone able to help?
(Vista 64bit, Nvidia graphic, Quadcore P5e)

The patch proggie said sth. like 1.14 found, and updated a lot of files before this message came and it aborted.
But nevermind, I've found a pirated copy of Thief Gold on an old DVDr.

Oh okay, so it was an older version... Hmm, where did you get the patch from? Maybe it was the wrong patch?

it'S never good to talk about pirated copys. My problem still stands. Script Error as soon as I start tthe optimisation process. Same happens when attempting to run ddfix...
