I loved
Dancer in the Dark, but like henke, I don't think I'll ever want to watch it again.
I don't recall getting to the end because the plot became too obvious and I get annoyed with things I feel are emotionally manipulative in a blatant manner. It's all down to taste though...

Well I just watched Antichrist.
I've had it on my harddrive for a year, but remembering how Von Triers earlier movies made me feel I've been hesitant to watch it. It's beautifully shot and very well acted. It's defenitely more violent and grotesque than Dancer in the Dark or Dogville, but not as depressing. And it doesn't have as deep an emotional impact. Where those films hit you in the heart, this one hits you in the groin. Ouch!

The only pull quote I need for this film.

This is the one where you get treated to a black and white slow-mo intro featuring Willem Dafoe's Ball Sack.

Teeth, yes, not as bad as you'd expect, I'd rather watch that one again than suffer through another Lars von Trier movie.

No, you're confused - that was the first Spiderman movie. The whole thing was actually Willem Dafoe's Ball Sack.

The Academy Awards still refuse to recognize the artistry found in Dafoe's ball sack. :nono:
