If I win another, I'll probably be thinking that's 2 each out of 5, so if I play you again and win, I'd want another match to feel conclusive and so on etc...
After that, we can can just play without keeping tabs. Seems arbitrary, I know :)
As soon as my game list slims down a little, I'll give it another go. I feel like I got lucky in that game though and you're still the better player, so I can't see me winning another one right away.
I suspect Nuth will beat me in 1-3 moves.
[EDIT] Nuth made 1 move and would have had me in 2, so I resigned like a gentleman. 1 more game over then I'll re-play SubJeff, after that, Dema :)

I'll play you now SE. I was watching to see how your current game with faetal went.
@faetal, I'll be merciful and save a game with you for whenever you aren't so swamped.
Edit: Ah, just starting to understand how the points system works. I'd actually make more points if I'd started before your game with faetal was over, since your loss there means a victory for me now wouldn't get me as many points and a loss for me will lose me a lot more points. Interesting. Ah well, it's just points and not very important anyway.

Made me work for that one, faetal. Just keep studying basic tactics and you'll be amazed at how fast you'll improve.

Dema - technically, you're right, but the whole thing with chess db points is that they settle down after a lot of games to reflect your general ranking, so short term gains made that way don't tend to last.
Nuth - thanks :) I'm already amazed at how much I've come along in the last few days. I should invest in some books or software.

Dema worries me. :cheeky: Not much to go on but it looks like he sees tactical shots very well.

I picked up some books telling myself I'd go through them carefully, and I did kind of play around with them, but the one book I went through the most carefully, the first one, was Yasser Seirawan, Winning Chess Tactics, and I've always play those "next move" games... Of course tactics are only as good as you have a plan to win, and that's the part I'm working on.

My backlog is slow. Yakoob and my other friend are taking it slow. Lets go for it.
Meh, you're putting up a good fight here faetal. I'm far from confident. (I just find smack talk funny, I give it even when I'm losing)
Hey man don't hate I have like, family to feed and cats to take out and jobs to complete and moons to land on and and....
:p

Anyone been able to find Queue at chess.com? Searching for Taffer_Queue is coming up empty.
Al_B on 27/6/2013 at 09:57
He shows for me ((
http://www.chess.com/members/view/Taffer_Queue) profile here) but I'm not sure he's been online since he registered. In other news, I actually won a game although I'm sure faetal was occupied with his other 20 games he was dealing with so I got away with some dreadful blunders.

Thanks for the link. Accepted your challenge, but after I go put in a Friend request to Queue, I'm outta here for now.
