Just finished with Dema. Pretty intense second half right up until I blundered and gave away my queen.

Definitely most intense mid to end game yet. Faetal had me on the ropes, down a full Bishop, charging down my flank, and I was fighting for life move to move and scraped back to even. I'll say this for him; this is the first game I had to literally pull out my own chessboard and plot my moves 3 or 4 moves in advance for each possible variation & visualize it for every move because it was so tight (usually I just use my fingers and go maybe 2 moves), and I still wasn't sure exactly where it'd get us if it weren't for that blunder.

Yeah, was a shameful mistake. Was a good game - I had to work really hard. I'll play you again when some of my other games die down.

I'm getting ready to leave for Japan very soon and have a ton to do, so I might be out of touch until I get settled in there, which may be a while. Gives Nuth a break & lets him study my games & crack my strategy. ;)

Looked like faetal was going to derail your plans there for a while. Nice comeback after losing the piece. That really seemed to sharpen your concentration.

BTW, if anyone is interested in chess books, I'm pretty familiar with what's available. There are so many out there it can sometimes be difficult to figure out what is appropriate, and I may be able to help with that. I'm not so familiar with software though.
