I think I wait until the maximum number of people have joined and then start it myself.
Obvious people yet to join who play regularly are Dema & Al.
People who have only played infrequently or not at all, or have just hinted on here at maybe playing at some point are:
Dethtoll, Brethren, Yakoob (probably going to be tied up with the Postmortem release), Neb, Mopgoblin, spyhopping
If anyone knows TTLGers well enough to prod them, then now is the time to do so. I'm also going to advertise the tournament on the facebook page as I know there are many who use that and don't come here that often.

Ok - we have 7 players signed up, probably best to wait for an even number.
I propose we wait for one more player to join, probably Al or Dema and then kick it off.
8 players = 3 stages, which should provide enough excitement to be worthwhile.
Very disappointed in the low number of TTLG chess players though - I thought turn-based strategy games were popular here.

Not sure if you are aware, but we do have 8 participants now. When are we starting ?
(BTW, I'm afk today and tomorrow. But starting monday I'll have all the time in the world to play).
Does the tournament director have influence on the games ? Can he pair the players ? Or does that all happen automatically ? If possible, I'd prefer to have black in all games, I think that might make them more even and fun.
