Thanks, bob_doe_nz, great to hear that! It'd be sad if someone wanted to join in but couldn't because of incompatible versions.
I'm not sure if Minecraft has built-in voice chat, but if not, perhaps we can use Malf's Mumble server. Malf, if you're reading this, are you in for some mining and crafting on Saturday, and can we use your server to chat? (Will try to send a Steam PM as well when I get around to it.)

What time is the usual Arma time? I might have some spare time in between Star Wars Concerts.

We usually meet at 3pm UK time. That would probably be very early in the morning at your end, right?

3am Sunday NZ time. I can do that.

I would also be up for this but I'll have to find my account which is under an old email I dont use anymore.
Yeah I lost my old account. I mean it's still there. When I tried to re-register under the same name it said it already exists. But I'm not allowed to take it. I even have the same email I registered it under and I know the password. But they're requiring I transfer the account to the new system or something, and for that they're requiring I give them the original receipt number, which screw that. I bought it aaaages ago. I wanted to play with my nephews so I just bought it again. Lame.
Edit: bob_doe_nz could vouch for my old account because he was my neighbor in dethland.

Silly question: is there actually free multiplayer in Minecraft Win 10? I've not tried it myself, but everything I've found seems to point towards Realms and subscriptions. It's also not always very clear which version of Minecraft the info I found referred to.

You can create a new world. The person who creates it can set up to 7 friends via XBLive to join using multiplayer settings.

I am actually considering getting this for the Switch, as my son would like it as well, apparently its the Bedrock edition which has crossplay with xbox and win10 versions, so I assume it would enable me to play with you guys?

A quick Google search suggests that this is indeed the case. The only thing is that we'll probably try to do voice chat via Mumble, so you'd need to run that one on another device.

well I have it on switch now and a microsoft account so hopefully we can get it working.
