I remember playing Thief The Dark Project within a couple of years of its initial release with my 4 or 5 year old great-niece Brianna standing over my shoulder at the computer monitor. When the zombie first came on screen in the mine and slowly shuffles towards you first-person view, her eyes popped, and she gasped, "I don't like this, Uncle Joe!" lol I started to think, "Nah, not a game for children probably" :erg: ....
My oldest daughter was four when the dark project was released - she loved to sit on my lap and watch while I played the game _execpt_ the bonehoard and the cathredal missions - she would hide and covere her ears as the undead were too much for her - to this day the sound samples of the zombies shuffling still makes the hair on the back or her neck stand up.

She survived. 10 now, smart as a whip and a sweet girl who loves gymnastics and reading. Now she plays Fortnite but prefers Roblox and Animal Crossing ☺️

I started my daughter on A Thief's Holiday a few years ago because it's purely exploration and has snowballs to throw. Or maybe Snowball Fight.

The Kill Factory has no enemies at all. Incubus has few enemies and is more about exploring its strange environments. The Sun Within And The Sun Without also fits the bill.

I thought Kill Factory and it's sequel had attacking robots or droids, no?

The city part of Calendra's Cistern has very few enemies and is wonderful to look at and explore.
Also, I'm very impressed your daughter is not scared by these games' sounds and visuals. I was creeped out inside Bafford's when I first played Thief:Gold at 17!

The sequel has attacking robots, the first one has no enemies at all.

Kill Factory reminds me slightly of a Maze game I typed into my old C64 from a magazine. It generated a random 3D maze you had to traverse in 1st person to retrieve an object but no enemy but time (once you retrieved your object the walls started to cave in so you had to get out quick).
I wonder why Thief zombies tend to be so unnerving compared to other games. I see some players of FMs here even avoid ones that have zombies, like some gamers avoid spiders.

I got used to the Thief zombies. Now to me they are no different than any other AI.
