In general, you could check out sections like "Horror" or "Mystery" in the "(
https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=151394&p=2475278&viewfull=1#post2475278) Fan Missions by type" thread. If you prefer more specific missions, such as butcher/blood missions, subtle horror, panic-inducing situations, etc. etc., you can either try the mission descriptions of the missions in the thread mentioned above, or give a description of what you're looking for.
"Rose Cottage" provides you with a good mix of Halloween-fitting elements, such as spooky sounds and situations, fear-filled action scenes, and graveyards and the like.
Sensut's "Dracula", "Bathory" and "Nosferatu" series have a fair share of castles, undead, tragic stories of prominent (un?)dead, but mixed with mission parts that are not so Halloween-like, such as travelling through the country, or reading things to understand what's going on in the world where you're in in these missions. The first "Better off Dead" mission also has horror/undead/crypt parts, but the second mission takes you to partially abandoned Pagan/Trickster territories, getting you out of your Halloween mood if you're not careful.;)
The "A Night in Rocksbourg" series takes you from a cramped dark city in the first mission to an eerie subterranean world that has been untouched by modern people for quite a while. Like a slow descent into a world that has some Halloween vibe. No lanterns with faces or children saying "Trick or treat", though, but far less friendly creatures.:ebil:
Some of the "Ruins of Originia" missions are set in dark and abandoned (but not empty) mines and other caverns. If that is halloweenish enough for you, and if you can stand the labyrinthic layouts as well as the high difficulty level, give it a try.
Care to venture into horror hospitals or prisons with violent torturers? Then try the "double mission" called "Ghost House/Haunted Hospital", or a ruined hospital for the mentally ill in "The Burning Bedlam", or maybe a horrific prison in "Shadows in our blood".
"Island of Madness" takes place on an island where you end up as the only survivor of a shipwreck, or something like that. Nothing living is on that island... but something
is there. The enemies are quite tough, though, and some puzzles didn't work well for me even though I had already found the right solution.
"Curse of the Ancients" is an old T1 mission taking place in a seemingly peaceful little town... but the nice first impression of the place quickly wears off once you notice that guard walking around near the beginning - with an arrow sticking out from his back. And the guys there don't get friendlier as you move on. The second half of the mission takes place below ground, where ancient graves that no one should have disturbed just wait for you to walk in and get killed. Has some puzzles that are a bit above average.
"Autumn in Lampfire Hills" is another Thief 1 classic, starting in Garrett's newly bought cozy cottage, going into a small city area, and finally venturing deep down to where an ancient undead gives you trouble.
"Island of Sorrow" begins in an abandoned house on a small island with some graves, then goes underground into mines and other, less pleasant environments. The usual company of living and not-so-living beings is guaranteed.
In "Eclipsed", Garrett enters a seemingly empty town in which something bad must have happened. The Keepers warned him, but nooo, he never listens... It takes quite a while until the undead appear, but from then on, it won't get better the more Garrett proceeds. The Keepers' warnings were not unfounded.
Older and more like "Curse of the Ancients" in looks is "The Inverted Manse", where Garrett enters another undead-inhabitated building structure.
"The Curse" provides a journey through the Herman manor and its deep tombs, where you shall find undead of the common and uncommon kind as well as things to take with you. If you do his bidding, the deceased owner of the house will give you the McGuffin you came here for. Not much choice, eh?
"Deceptive Perception" and "Deceptive Perception 2: Phantasmagoria" are horror missions for anyone thinking Halloween should have a fair share of blood, murder and other killings.
"Breathing Corpses" is a large mission in an underground graveyard that is less cavern-like than the famous "Bonehoard" of Thief 1, and has more human-build structures. The name and the surroundings should tell you that restless rotten corpses move around, ready to nab your butt if you're not careful enough. Some interesting puzzles are present as well.
"The Scarlet Cascabel" has two missions in store. In the first, you travel to a landscape composed of woods, a river, and some subterranean areas towards a meeting in a small town. After some thievery in town, you proceed to mission 2, where a hotel with human and undead inhabitants has a normal appearance with something sinister lurking behind the facade.
"Tell-Tale Heart", although obviously inspired by E. A. Poe's short story, is a trek through an underground graveyard, where you find evidence of a mad scientist's experiments which perhaps should come to an end. Frequent battles with strong undead are almost guaranteed.
If you want more undead fights, go into another graveyard below the ground in "A Brawl in the Tombs", and have fun introducing hordes of undead to hordes of Hammerites and Mechanists. Everyone gets his share. Beware the crossfire, thief!
Well, I think that's enough for Halloween. Depending on your personal preferences, you might discard several of these missions, but hopefully, you'll find some gems as well.
