You might try playing something from the Command and Conquer series of games. I know it's technically a strategy game, but a lot of the cut-scenes are shot from the first person.

While not normally a fan of anime-esque things this game is ace and distinctly quake like, except with more giant robots and laser guns.

The part of NOLF2 that I fucking *loathe* is how broken a stealth approach is in the russian missions. Endlessly respawning guards are a pain in the ass, as well as the "silently shoot one person and that endlessly respawning mob is suddenly baring down on you" aspect. Overall I still love it though.
