Hidden and Dangerous was really buggy on release, but I played through all of the free download version, H&D Deluxe, which is something like version 1.69 and includes the expansion pack, and I don't remember that being particularly buggy.
It still suffered from some of the frustration of the AI controlling the other three members of your team, occasionally getting themselves killed in stupid ways and using up all their ammo for the campaign in one mission though. If you can get past annoyances like that, they're still great games - what I really love about them is that they generally just put you on a big map with some objectives and you get a lot of freedom in how you accomplish them, right down to the precise equipment loadout of every member of your team - completely different to the extremely linear moving through small checkpoint segments that CoD has made so very popular.
I never understood why CoD wouldn't let you replay missions with weapons of your choice, it would have made them fun to play a second time around... I guess they don't think the market cares about that sort of thing, maybe they're right.
