Any professional game programmers around? Need some quick help with a short survey. - by Ostriig

Sorry about clogging up the forums with this thing, but I'm coming to be in a bit of a pickle here. I've got some research for a dissertation project that needs to be in Monday, and part of it would require some returns for a short technical survey. It's just 7 quick questions, probably 2 minutes on the clock, and tries to scope out common elements of software design patterns and good development practice that games industry employers would want game programming graduates to be familiar with.
So if you are doing or have done professional work in games software engineering, it would be of great help if you could give your input. Or if you know anyone else you can link up, or if you know somewhere I can ask with a good chance please let me know.
One more thing, in case anyone's wondering about the first question, where I ask for a name and position or experience, it's just so I have records should anyone on staff question my sources later. It goes no further than that in any way. I'm going for quality over qunatity with this, so it's important to have the input of games programming professionals.

And again, apologies for the interruption, we now return you to your regularly scheduled bickering.

You might want to edit the thread title to add the word "professional" to it. The thread implies that you're looking for help programming a game.

You've got a point, edited.

Right, this is over and done with, I got two returns from people I didn't personally contact, so I figure they're either from here or aigamedev.com. If anyone from here took the survey, just wanted to say Thank You, you've been very helpful!
